Things happen around the world but often, we dont know about them. That is why Anand Shinde loves to wander to different places to discover them and tell stories through photo stories. In the year 2004, Anand received the Better Photography Portrait Contest Award & Lakme fashion moment of the year award in 2008.
With the background of Law and Music; he turned his hobby Photography into a profession.
Currently, Anand works as a senior photographer with The Asian age newspaper, a Deccan Chronicle broadsheet newspaper in Mumbai, India. He has 11 years of experience of working as a photographer in Mumbai. Anand has also worked with Hindustan Times, DNA Newspaper, USP Age magazine, Chitralekha magazine, Maharashtra Times newspaper and one of the leading Indian regional language newspapers, Dainik Bhaskar. Anand believes any good photojournalist needs luck and location. This, he thinks, is the result of the picture being taken at the right place and at the right time - a combination that is essential for a good picture.
